  I used to love this place but feel that it's gone a bit downhill as far as food and drink quality and service in the last year or so. They have vegan options but tell your server to make sure your food is vegan at least 3 times so they don't bring you non-vegan versions of your order. This was never a problem in the past, but many of these situations have arisen since most of their solid staff left.

  Our last night in Hawaii we decided to eat out! My boyfriend and I are both vegan and as the vegan options around town are sort of lacking we went with Downbeat (all burgers and sandwiches can be made vegan!). Janelle was our server and she was lovely and happy and the food was amazing too! We liked the atmosphere of the area and the eatery and wish we hadn't only explored it the night before we left. We will be back for the oero shake! Thank you
